Controlling and
supervision of the Egyptian cotton varieties during the cotton handling stages
. To secure the purity and to cut off different sources of contamination , in conformity with rule No.106 ( 1973 ) and rule No.70 (2007
) for maintaining their excellent
Properties , Internationally .
- Classification and
grading of seed-cotton in the collecting centers (5000 center ) which take
place in the cotton production
governorates , besides excluding the
sacs that contain mixed cotton or sewed by synthetic fibers in order to protect
the Egyptian cotton from different shapes of mixing and contamination .
- Controlling , supervision and the
technical follow in all ginneries to
inspect all the sacs supplied , once again for classing and avoiding mixed , off type , moisture and
contaminated sacs , then stacking of seed-cotton sacs in uniform lots according
to quality levels (grades) .
- Following up drawing of
seed-cotton sacs from gin yards to blend ( taddriba ) halls , then unpacking
sacs to get rid of different contaminants manually ,
controlling the good blending of seed-cotton within range allowed to secure homogeneous
and high quality of lint cotton produced .
- Controlling ginning
processes , gin stand setting ,get rid of trash and foreign matters , avoiding
seed coat fragments , preventing contamination and adjusting the moisture content
for obtaining high quality level of lint cotton.
- Dividing the lint cotton classified into
basic and intermediate grades for availability a different quality levels , to increase client`s opportunity to
choice the quality desired that conform with the end – product .
- Controlling all the
technical stages as concerns of lint cotton preparation either to direct export
from up- country ginneries or from press mills located in Alexandria , through
controlling the manual cleaning of seed –cotton on the belt conveyor , and
inside the blending halls to reduce the trash an foreign matters to reduce the
trash and foreign matters to obtain clean and high level of quality , homogeneity
of lint cotton obtained .
- Controlling a technical
process that regards lint cotton under the name FARFARA , by excluding different
forms of trash and contaminants to raise the quality and homogeneity of lint cotton within bales of the same
lot prepared to export .
- Controlling process of bale pressing and wrapping , in order to preserve the
lint cotton against contamination, then the bales are certified under
supervision of CATGO`s
classer by marking the bales with CATGO`s name , variety and lot No. To facilitate movement of cotton
bales through
different stages of handing .
